Metal Yapi will provide more than 22,000 sq m of facade for two residential towers, one 26 storeys and the other 31, as well as for two 10-storey pavilions attached to the towers.

The £24m facade deal represents the specialist’s largest contract to date with Mace, which was named main contractor on the scheme by developer Get Living last month.

Metal Yapi will commence work on site in September 2019.

The scheme, located adjacent to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, will provide 524 homes as well as retail space on the ground floor.

Main construction on the site will get under way in December this year following enabling works.

Sister company Metal Yapi Engineering also worked with Mace on the Rising Factory construction method used on the separate N08 East Village scheme, for which the main contractor won Best Innovation at the 2018 Construction News Awards.

Other major London schemes Metal Yapi has worked on include the £600m expansion of Westfield London, for which the specialist installed the roof.
